The Indian Dance Arangetram (or Rangapravesh) is the debut graduation performance. In the literal sense it means “Ascending the Stage” and is a big step in the career of the Indian performing arts student. Once the student performs their Arangetram they are part of a senior group dancers within the school or academy.
The arangetram experience builds upon years of classical art learning into a deeper understanding of the meaning and culture behind the art form.
Bharatnatyam is one of the classical dances of India, originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most popular Indian Dance forms and is a key art form practiced by many around the world.
